1. Stay Scam-Aware ⚠️⚠️⚠️

• Inspect Before You Pay: Whenever possible, meet in person in a public place to inspect the gear. Check for pinholes in the canopy, repairs on the leading edge, and the crispness of the material.

• Verify the Seller: Ask for additional photos or a video of the gear. Genuine sellers are usually happy to show details.

• Payment Safety: Avoid wire transfers or “friends and family” payments to strangers. Use secure platforms that offer buyer protection.

2. Gear Condition

• Kite Life: Ask about the year of the model and how often it was used. UV damage and salt can degrade gear even if it “looks” new.

• Safety Systems: Always test the quick release and depower systems before your first session with used gear.
